Through learning many different genres of music, my students will learn to appreciate all that encompasses music and they will become more well- rounded and open-minded in life. Read More
Instruments: Piano Voice Music
My teaching experience dates back to my college days, as I began teaching private lessons part time 9 years ago and have been consistently teaching student in my studio for the last 2 years. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key point I like to emphasize for younger students, as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for singing. I've also found that a combination of classical and modern music can go a long way in helping students enjoy singing and motivate them to practice and continue to learn. Read More
Instruments: Piano Violin Viola Music
I began teaching private lessons as a sophomore in high school, where at first I had only one violin student. By the time I was a senior in high school I taught 10 students a week, all based on word of mouth recommendation through contacts at my former middle school. My aim for lessons is to present fun yet challenging material in a captivating and exploratory manner. Learning is a very individual experience, thus I employ different mediums and presentation techniques to introduce new concepts and revisit old ones. Read More

Instruments: Piano Trumpet Flute Piccolo
The bulk of my experience comes from eleven years of performance, in which I have been exposed to the vast majority of flute literature, ranging from standard solo repertoire, to chamber music (flute ensemble/woodwind quintet/flute quartets), to orchestra masterpieces, and to broadway pit orchestras. During my time at Vassar, I was able to teach four other undergraduate students who could not afford to take lessons through the music department. Read More
Instruments: Cello
I began teaching as an undergraduate student at the University of South Carolina. I worked in a teacher-training program called the String Project, where I had the opportunity to observe and assist string teachers in a group setting. From there I gained private students in the Columbia, SC area and eventually hired as a Teaching Assistant where I taught a cello practicum for music education students and private cello at the university.
