Hello, and nice to meet you! I am a skilled musician and teacher, bringing years of experience in performance and teaching to the table. My passion for teaching was grounded when I learned from the very best around the world. I learned through my own teachers that teaching can elevate an individual to higher heights and bring joy to those who learn from you. I graduated with a degree in piano performance from California State University in 2018 on the Dean's List and top of my class in pedagogical classes on teaching piano. Read More

I'm a down to Earth, patient teacher willing to help my students pursue their goal anywhere from getting into college, pursuing a career, or even helping someone fulfill their dream they never had time for. I live in South Pasadena, however during the school year I live in Pomona where I attend university at Cal Poly Pomona where I major in Tuba Performance. Despite the fact I play Tuba the most, I also play in the pep band as a lead trumpet. Read More

I've found that keeping an open mind about methods is really helpful when dealing with beginning students, young and old. I've tought from various method series including Hal Leonard's Essential Elements, Emily Wright's A Modern Cellist's Manual, Muller Rusch, and more. While I'm not a certifited Suzuki instructor, I do teach from the Suzuki method when students or parents request it. What's important is matching the right method to the right student which I tend to determine at our initial lesson. Read More

I have an arsenal of exercises and tools that I apply as needed for each student, and generally give each student an overview with lots of reinforcement in subsequent lessons at my concepts of technique. Generally each lesson involves vocalese - scales, triads, increasing in difficulty as appropriate and based on individual areas of need, followed by work on the repertoire. We work a lot with sheet music and a keyboard or piano is needed for the work. Read More

Instruments: Drums
Whether I was teaching Drum Labs at Berklee College of Music or teaching privately in my Boston Studios, there has never been one student who has not moved me to want to do all I can to further their drumming and musical aspirations. I work closely with students in designing a plan that seeks to fulfill both short and long-term musical goals. We work together to contruct a lesson plan that is inspiring, demanding, and achievable. My teaching experience started while finishing my second program in college in 2016. With a career planned, I was ready to start sharing the ways of the fretboard to my students. With that, comes something thats most important, dedication. With dedication, you start a practice strategy, whether you want to memorize all the 12 major scales in all five CAGED patterns, or learn Hendrix's "Purple Haze" there must be dedication. Setting goals is very important to learning music, or your instrument, achieving is when you've finally reached what you've strived for, and challenge is when you take your goal and add some "spice" to it, whether it's playing faster, or learning the modes of the major scale.
