With beginners, I provide material that teaches about finger numbers, rhythm, note learning, and basic material. As the student progresses, I asses their learning style and provide the necessary material and suggestions as to what books and miscellaneous learning tools the student will need. My preferred method of teaching is through the book, Piano Adventures by Faber Faber. I have taught all ages from children to adults and absolute beginners to advanced Jazz professionals. For children who are just starting, I use Bastien Piano Basics Primer Level-Level 2. From here, students graduate to selections primarily from Bach, Chopin and Beethoven. For adults I use Alfred's beginner adult course. I also supplement these books with several books that I have in my personal library, such as Keith's Snell's Essential Piano Repertoire. For scales I use Keith Snell's series and for technique I use Schaum's Fingerpower series. Read More

I have been playing drums for 10 years and piano for 7. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Finance and am currently earning an A.A in Jazz Studies at Saddleback Community College and plan to pursue an M.M following completion where I hope to teach K-13 . I directed strings of IDream Junior Orchestra and the IBC Junior Orchestra in many public performances for years. I also directed viola section of Purme Orchestra in Seoul, Korea.
