I belong to ASTA and SAA , SMS and AFM I've had students playing in the suzuki festivals. Students I've taught are now having excellent careers as professional musicians. As a teenager I began teaching young kids very introductory acoustic guitar methods. Later on in college, my music curriculum mandated teaching lessons on the primary instrument while receiving feedback from faculty and attending teaching workshops. I have participated in master classes with Eliot Fisk and Roland Dyens, and have attended master classes with world-famous flamenco, jazz, fusion, and classical guitar players. I did not specificly stick to particular music series in the market as I believe it is best to choose the music books that match with the age, personality and learning style of a student. I had started with Alfred, Faber and Hal Leobard for my young beginners. I will also introduce students with Suzuki methods if I think this is a better fit.As for later or adult beginners, I used Faber, Alfred, and John Thompson series as the starting material, and give instructions along with the students' interest.
