I always set aside time in my lessons so I can help my students with the music that they are currently playing in my ensemble. My experience as a teacher covers teaching guitar to beginners and intermediate level children and adults. As a private teacher, I usually go to the student's preferred location to teach. Here in America, I also worked as a teacher's aide at Sterling Elementary School in Tooele-UT. This experience gave me even more ease in teaching children, who naturally need a very attentive and patient approach. I started playing guitar as a kid in around 1996 and started playing live with bands in 1998. Since then I have had the privilege of playing.touring and doing session work. I started teaching at Encore music in Port Richey Florida in 1999 and since have done lessons on and off in varies formats. I have played in many bands over the years and have taught hundreds of students. I am always learning and growing as a musician and I really enjoy sharing my passion and skills with others. Often the goals for students depends on demands from school, so it is important to establish these based on school requirements as well as personal accomplishments the student may have. Much of my approach to teaching is determined by the individual student. I want my students to be the best musicians they can be, and that does require a certain amount of pressure. To the extent that I can for each, I push my students to progress quickly. It can get boring to practice the same piece over and over without variation, so practicing is required. My goal is to let students find their own potential and their own motivation to learn. Read More
