My goal in the music profession is to become a trumpet professor at the collegiate level and have my own trumpet studio. For beginning students who are ages 8-13 will first use the Standard of Excellence red book and then they will transfer to the blue book. Intermediate and Advance will use the Foundations for superior performance book. We will start to pick solos that they are able to play and work on them. I have found that there is a fine balance to be struck between structure and curiosity in helping a student cultivate their love for music.
