I put heave emphasis on the basics like scales (major and minor), circle of fifths, thirds and fifths, and sight reading. Each person is different. Because of this, I always make sure each student is going at their own pace. At the beginning of the year, I sit down with each student and we set goals for our playing. I want students to feel motivated and inspired always, and to practice because they love it- not because they feel forced. I was interested in teaching from a young age; I loved to play school with my friends. I started tutoring in high school, as well as teaching private flute lessons. I have taught private lessons since 2017 and have loved every moment of it, both with beginners and with more advanced high school students. I began working as a marching band technician in 2021 and have since worked for numerous schools.
