Hello! I was originally trained as a classical cellist, but I fell in love with the ukulele when I was in high school. In college at Loyola Maryland, I was the president and founder of the ukulele club which was featured on the Today Show with Al Roker in 2017. It was in this test lab that I began to formulate an approach to learning piano quite different from the more traditional ways the instrument was commonly taught. Each lesson, I will prepare 4 sections for my students: warm-up, review, learning new music, and questions/smart tips time. I believe fundamental techniques are super important for students to advance their music. I also pay attention to what students are interested in. The teacher should come up with a teaching method that will balance the different needs of the students. My goal is to instill a sense of music appreciation, while at the same time teaching students about the technical aspects of music. Read More
