I customize each lesson specifically for my students so that they remain satisfied and fulfilled with what they are learning. Each student has different interests and its my job to build a music curriculum around them. I'm always encouraging and pushing my students to practice more on a daily basis and make them aware that practice and going over the lessons over and over makes them better every day. I'm always also pushing and motivating them to learn more and practice more. The more they practice each lesson the better they become and the more they would have control of the instrument. Always motivating my students to push forward and practice in class as I monitor their own progress and guide them to practice on their own at least one hour to two hours daily. Read More

It is important for students to progress at their own pace. Every student is different and some will be willing to practice for hours every day to get to where they want to be, and others are more casual and may practice less than 20 minutes a day. The important thing to know is no matter what you are doing it is okay, as long as you are having fun or you're doing what you want, or what will make you happy. Read More

My approach is focused very much on performance, technicalities, and theory. I believe it is very important for the student to understand how these aspects of playing coincide with each other, and how they are equally essential to music playing. Before giving a student a piece of music to play, I will always play it befoehand and dissect the song into portions that I feel need special attention. I encourage playing with other musicians, and always try to teach the art ofimprovisation, so that the students can learn to play not only by themselves, but with other musicians, using the musicial understanding that it takes to improvise. I first started teaching after I went good around middle school. I was giving charity classes to a bunch of friends from school who later decided to follow up their guitar studies academically and I gave them the foundation. I started teaching because my teacher said I was already good enough and if I could help him teach the other students, so I did until he retired and me and my Duo Partner took over the school.
