I graduated from Berklee College of Music's Master Program of Scoring for Film,Tv and Video Games in 2013. I was the only student that managed to be accepted with a scholarship without previously owning a Bachelor Degree, mostly due to my portfolio and to my previous experience as a musician. I am also a passionate guitarist and I have been teaching guitar during the last 12 years. I performed in many stadiums in Greece with different rock bands as the lead guitarist. Read More

My teaching style is individualized to meet the needs of the students. I like to use a portion of the first lesson to discuss the goals and musical interest of the student regardless of age. I encourage beginner students to learn basic theory to develop rudimentary skills. I then try to incorporate a student’s favorite music into the lesson plans. I also strongly encourage voice and guitar students to write their own music to promote self expression. Read More

I typically teach with method books as references for younger students, occasionally using printouts to give to students to take home and study in order to have a better undertanding of what was gone over in class. As students become more proficient in music reading and theory understanding, we develop an understanding of what the student would prefer to learn in regards to genre and focus on that, and the technical aspects of playing that lead to proficiency in that genre and style. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music! Therefore, it's important that each student progresses at his or her own pace. I encourage my students by setting realistic goals and proving homework after each lesson to perfect for the next lesson. Acknowledging accomplishments helps fuel a student desire to progress, and makes students eager to learn more. By trying to find out what inspires the students, I can successfully tailor my instruction to his or her learning style. Read More

I grew up overseas in several countries, exposed to several types of music, and have played guitar for over 20 years. Although my education was focused on the sciences, I did take music classes as electives while studying. I have an acoustic (with a jack) and electric guitar, as well as an Amplifier should you not have access to a guitar or amplifier. I play mostly classic rock and rhythm and blues as well as some lead guitar. Read More

I really take a look at what the student needs to learn and what the student wants to learn because I've seen a lot of students giving up because the institution or teacher is giving to much theory and very poor practice. I try to balance those responsibilities to a point that the student will always be learning something new as long as I work on their motivation and consistency of keeping up so they can learn how to play anything they like and want.
