That being said, there are students that don't want to learn to read and I understand that as well. For those students there are many methods available that can help them achieve what they want. For beginning students I make sure we know every warm up exercise and stretching exercises for the fingers after explaining the importance of rehearsing properly. We will start getting familiarized with a couple circles until the student fluently knows how to accompany every chord. After we are going to learn scales so they also familiarized with licks and comp. After the student does fluently the exercises we will see what the student is mainly interested on learning regarding genre of music for it the process is full of joy. Read More
