I try to burn a more passionate, positive fire under my students, rather then make them dread going to lessons. For Adults: I go at the speed and pace you want to go at! I take into consideration adult responsibilities and what your goals are for their choice of study. I keep lesson plans a bit more loose depending on skill level and available practice time. Some people like a more structured lesson, while others like having a free-form lesson, I'll do which ever works best for you. Read More

I ultimately hope that I can instill my students with a passion for music while ensuring they have fun! I stress the importance of regular practice in order for students to make weekly progress, and ultimately desire to help them develop their playing technique and theoretical knowledge while making room for them to explore their personal interests and enjoy playing their instrument. Since I have a broad array of musical interests, I am accordingly open to incorporating different aspects of musical study such as writing and recording into lessons as students progress, as I find the act of creating something of one's own to be an incredibly valuable part of making music. I believe my top goal as a music teacher is to encourage the exploration of music. Any of my students should be discovering new music, branching out from the style(s) they are already interested in. I've obtained an appreciation of so many different forms of the art that I love to share. I want you to play the music you enjoy playing! Read More

Im all about helping each student grow at their own pace. Everyone learns differently, so I make sure to customize practice routines and adjust how much info I throw at you depending on your style and focus. To keep things on track, I create a detailed profile for each student, highlighting areas of strength and areas we can level up. Its a great way for both of us to see progress and stay focused on what matters. Read More

My teaching style is very involved and incorporates playing for the student, playing with the student, and having the student play on their own. Creating a safe environment where the student is comfortable making mistakes is vital, because making mistakes is a vital component to learning how to play an instrument. I take each student at their own pace and cultivate growth through technical mechanics of the instrument as well as philosophical ideals about what it means to be a musician. Read More
