I'm encouraging and enthusiastic when it comes to teaching and sharing my love of music as an instructor for guitar, piano, and voice. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Industry from Chadron State College with the guitar being my principal instrument, however, focused on voice and piano as part of my degree too. I've been a professional guitarist for over 10 years and have played in performing and touring bands ranging from blues, rock, pop, country, jazz, and more. Read More

Bass, drums, theory, vocal harmonies, songwriting, even ukulele -- take your pick (more than one if you like!), and let's see what strikes your fancy. With all of this experience (and it would take too long to list it all), I never lose sight of what YOU like, where YOU want to go, and how I can help YOU get there -- as fast as possible . . . with plenty of laughs along the way! For violin, viola, cello and bass, I teach the Suzuki method. The Suzuki method is based strongly on memory and takes a systematic approach to introducing music of increasing difficulty. For classical guitar, I start off with the Frederick Noad system, "Solo Guitar Playing", and scales. As skill level increases, I assign more etudes and standard guitar repertoire. For acoustic guitar, I teach almost exclusively finger-picking. I teach the same high standard skills for acoustic guitar that I teach for classical, but concentrate on masterpieces of the repertoire. Read More

My teaching style tends to adapt to the particular student. Nobody likes someone who comes on too strong or is completely set in their ways. I want to get to know you! I then try to bring my approach into the picture. I have a very engaging teaching style. I feel that getting constant feedback from the student is very important. The last thing I want is a confused student! Read More

Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
