I am a musician, songwriter, and author the of "Crash Course: Drumming Manual." When I'm not teaching, I spend my time working on a Christian music project.
Worship Band, Rock band Random Encounter (not currently), USF Drumline, Orchestra, Jazz band, Afro-Cuban hand drumming, contracted songwriting/composing.
Drums: I use my Crash Course: Drumming Manual (as seen on Amazon). It covers snare drum, drum set, reading, improvization, and good technique building exercises.
Piano: for kids: Alfred's Basic Piano Library: All-in-One Course Books 1-5. for adults: Alfred's basic Adult All-in-One Piano Course: 1-3
Guitar: Hal Leonard Guitar Method: Complete Edition
Lessons are usually pretty casual. I like to use a book so that we always have a clear path. Students can request that their lessons be more vigorous (say if you're auditioning for a part or instrument for some activity) but otherwise, I tend to keep things more laid back.
