Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

Instruments: Flute
I have played the flute for many years, and have instucted students for close to 16 years. Starting out with simple exercises and building upon a basic foundation are key. Students are encouraged to perform in recitals when they are ready. Young students new to the flute should be mature enough to stick to a regular schedule and practice at least 15-20 minutes a day. I began teaching in college; I would often tutor and help other students with difficult course material. I realized that I loved helping others learn and I began teaching at local music stores and schools a few years ago. I strongly feel that learning is best done in a fun, supportive environment. Every year I host recitals to give my students an opportunity to perform in additional to helping students prepare for local auditions, open mics, and other performances. Read More

In 2005, he won the 1st prize at the Houston flute club, Denise Jennings Memorial Solo & Ensemble Competition Professional level, also has selected one of 5 finalists of the Byron Hester memorial competition. His most recent recital includes Duo Indiana 2011 in a sold out performance with pianist Akiko Iguchi in Japan, and Back to Baroque with the Renovo String Orchestra at the Music Institute of Chicago September 2011. I also worked as a School Aged Child Care Leader at Sandburg Elementary School from 2015 to 2018, further honing my skills in working with children ages 5 to 11. In 2019, I attended Marrowstone Music Festival as a Fellow. This gave me the opportunity to mentor high school and undergraduate flutists individually and during sectionals and to coach a student wind quintet. During my final year at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, I also taught a Public Speaking course for undergraduate students. Read More
