For beginners, I have a multitude of etudes, simple songs, and exercises to encourage sight-reading, finger comfortability, and basic cognitive understanding of music fundamentals such as scales. For guitar, I usually begin with fun simple songs such as "What do we do with the Drunken Sailor" and a simple blues. For woodwind instruments, I'll typically begin with songs such as Hot Cross Buns, Mary Had a Little Lamb, or some holiday songs during the holiday season. Read More

Currently, I am pursuing a Bachelor of Music Performance focusing in Flute under the amazing Dr. Cobus du Toit at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. After I graduated with my bachelors in Music Performance, I moved to Central Asia where I helped to open a music school for underprivileged children, and I played in the National Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra. I always try not to push for practice assignments, students are busy for school homework, outdoor activities, family obligations, most importantly, students should have fun to play music, of course practice is important, but if students lost interest in music playing, it will be hard to continue to have lessons.
