Instruments: Piano Voice

I have been a full time teacher for 5 years. I work with ages as young as 3 and as old as mid 60's. I enjoy the variety in ages as I believe my approach to teaching is one of building a strong musical foundation and I am skilled and flexible to teach these concepts to all ages. I am a singer first and a pianist second. Piano was my first instrument, and then I later went on to study voice at New England Conservatory of Music. Read More

Most of my students will begin with a set of books from Faber and Faber's Piano Adventures or Alfred's Basic Piano Course, or a combination of both. I recommend that younger students take advantage of the Activity and Ear Training book that is a part of Alfred's Prep Course. Most of my students have greatly enjoyed the coloring pages and activities and I have found them to be very effective. Read More

I am a recent graduate of UConn and I'm passionate about teaching students in a way that will give them the tools to be successful in any genre of music they sing in! I've had experience singing in musicals, operas, operettas, jazz ensembles, and have had the privilege to premiere many new works as well! I have studied voice for over 10 years, and still take regular lessons to continue learning so that I can be the best teacher I can be. Read More

I prefer to do half-hour lessons for beginners and young musicians. After more lessons can be prepared, forty-five minute or hour long lessons are more appropriate. For trumpet students, I rely heavily on the Arban method for the essentials and then add other materials depending on the student's goals. For voice students, I begin with a vocal exercise book and a collection of songs to learn. For all my students, I encourage you to bring in your own materials to work on as well. Read More

My love of teaching started when I was a counselor at a musical summer enrichment program back in 2020. I got to work with so many young performers with varying skill levels and aided them in discovering their voice and confidence. Since then, I have begun my own private vocal coaching business and became a singing/musical theatre teacher at All Stars Dance Center in Westfield, MA. I love the look on my students faces they hit that high note or finish a difficult song that theyve worked so hard on! Read More
