If, at some point, some smaller goal materializes, on we go. If you are the type who craves a lot of pressure from a teacher, I am more than capable of piling that on for you; just don't count on me to be "upset" at you for not practicing, since years of experience have told me that this does practically nothing good for anyone involved. I do not consider it my job to motivate you to be interested in music. Read More

Not everyone will become a professional music or composer. My experience gives me the insight to offer the tools you need, for your music learning experience. As a "drumset" "percussion" teacher. Along with the books listed below, I ask that students bring a blank spiral note book in which technique notes as well as exercises customized to the individualized progress of each student are notated as the student progresses. My teaching style will be The Bob Ross approach. If the student doesn't feel relaxed, or isn't having fun, then I would have failed as an instructor. I will always remind my students that talent is just passion met with dedication. I will break down the method to the simplest step, then we will repeat that step until that becomes second nature. This will apply to each of the steps, until we go back and add all of the elements together. Read More

In middle and high school, I performed on saxophone, bassoon, drum set, all percussion, and guitar every year. I performed jazz, classical, military, big band, and marching band music. Served as head of the drumline in high school and taught many musicians how to perform on the snare drum, multi-tenors, bass drums, and mallet percussion. In college, I got more busy with schoolwork :( but I had time to compose music on my own and join a local pop-punk band called Shout London. Read More

I started teaching right after high school, helping at band camps and during the season. I started giving lessons soon after and in 2007 I was offered the oppurtunity to be the drumline instructor for a local high school. I would teach there until 2012. I wrote exercises, cadences, their show music, and taught them all the fundementals of marching and proper playing technique. Every year we would also perform an indoor show which I wrote both the music and drill. Read More
