When I assisted in the academy, and jammed with the kids who were learning drums. I looked at their faces and nothing brought more joy to my heart that knowing that those kids found passion in music; the same way I did when I was younger. I cant wait to teach more formal lessons specially now that Im older. Just teaching my first student and inspiring them into making music would be something amazing beyond any of the music accomplishment I have had thus far. Read More

I began playing the drums in local rock bands while in Jr. High School and High School in Miami, Fl. (1965-71). My friends father was a professional guitar player and teacher. He got me started with musicians that played gigs all over South Florida. Over the years I continued to develop a vast knowledge of various styles which kept me busy as a working drummer. My roots in rock ,jazz and blues also continued to be exemplified when performing at colleges and opening for national bands. Read More

Since the age of 11, I have been composing music of all genres and styles, learning how to perform on as many instruments as I could get my hands on. I have worked as a producer making music for multimedia and have written music for groups to perform. I am a fun and friendly person that always strives to have an open mind, thinking of myself as only a beginner in this passion for music I have. Read More

I started teaching right after high school, helping at band camps and during the season. I started giving lessons soon after and in 2007 I was offered the oppurtunity to be the drumline instructor for a local high school. I would teach there until 2012. I wrote exercises, cadences, their show music, and taught them all the fundementals of marching and proper playing technique. Every year we would also perform an indoor show which I wrote both the music and drill. Read More

Apart from treating time as the precious resource it is (meaning I will give your time the utmost respect and expect the same from you) . . . my style is friendly, patient, and "open" to an extreme. If you have particular goals, communicate them to me, and I will teach you everything relevant to them. If you don't, I will help you identify your goals. If you want to remain "goal-free" (for example, because you used to have some forceful teacher, punishing you for your "lack of dedication" or the like), I have a blast simply looking into facets of music with a curious student. I became a professional musician at the age of 16. I've traveled around the world and parts of the US. I started playing Rock and Roll music until I was 25. At that time I decided to get a formal music training with piano and theory. I auditioned and received scholarships in music to Seminole Community College and University of Central Florida. Upon graduation I became a staff musician at Walt Disney World. Read More

My method for vocal students starts with a simple scale. I start off knowing what genres they listen to, practice, like, and dislike, and then I move on to their range. That is the key to understanding their limits a little more. From there I move onto whatever song they have prepared any. Then I go on a case by case basis. For method books. I don't really use them.
