I am a guitarist hailing from Central Florida. I love to just rock out to anything that sounds good from metal to country; if it sounds good I'll play it. I've been playing since the age of 6 and was heavily influenced by KISS, my favorite band. I play many styles of music including Rock, Metal, Blues, Jazz, Country, and Classical. I've played in numerous bands such as The Dream Lake Project, Dead Fall, OD, and with many show case artist such as Jimmy Bridgewater , Larry Black, and The Smokey Jackson Band. Read More

For younger students I start off really easy because I want the student to not be intimidated by the learning curve of instrument mastery. I strive to make the student feel like they are succeeding every step of the way. Before each class I have my full lesson prepared and can use a standard musical instruction book if the parent would like or if I feel that it is necessary. Read More

I am here for you, the student. I take you where you want to go with music. I don't force any prescribed notions about what your musical goals SHOULD be, unless you're unsure of them. As a military brat, growing up, I had the privilege (and challenge) of moving a lot. I am familiar with a wide variety of cultures, types of people, and musical abilities and interests. I have loved music for as long as I can remember; Read More

My teaching style will be The Bob Ross approach. If the student doesn't feel relaxed, or isn't having fun, then I would have failed as an instructor. I will always remind my students that talent is just passion met with dedication. I will break down the method to the simplest step, then we will repeat that step until that becomes second nature. This will apply to each of the steps, until we go back and add all of the elements together. Read More

I began playing the drums in local rock bands while in Jr. High School and High School in Miami, Fl. (1965-71). My friends father was a professional guitar player and teacher. He got me started with musicians that played gigs all over South Florida. Over the years I continued to develop a vast knowledge of various styles which kept me busy as a working drummer. My roots in rock ,jazz and blues also continued to be exemplified when performing at colleges and opening for national bands. Read More

Books I use for teaching Piano is the Piano Adventures series of books by Nancy and Randall Faber, which is a great lesson book and a good basic piano method for beginners through intermediate level students. For guitar I use the Hal Leonard Incredible Chord Finder and the Warren Nunes Jazz guitar Rhythm and Background Chords and the Solo Patterns book. Also For both Piano and Guitar I have accumulated many charts and Berklee School of Music pages to use as students start to progress. Read More

I love to watch a student progress. It gives me such joy to see them happy. I always evaluate every student and I set for them small and realistic goals. I explain to them that in order to achieve a certain goal you must first obtain the facility by practicing the exercises assigned to them. Sometimes its hard for small children to understand why they are doing a certain exercise so I explain to them and show what the drummer is doing on a certain performance they want to emulate and in order to achieve that, they must go through the exercises assigned.
