One of the most important values I hope to pass on to my students is that of making each note as beautiful as possible, and having this in mind every time they pick up their instruments. I hope to teach my students to approach music with intention behind every note and to be thinking musically and creatively with every motion they make. I offer the option for students to send me practice progress videos during the week so that I may comment on any questions that may arise in between lessons. I have found that this pushes students to keep a regular practice routine, and also develops their ability to self-critique and correct their own playing. I posses extensive classical music and music pedagogy trainings. All my musical knowledge and expertise was attained in Eastern Europe. I play and teach piano, upright bass, bass guitar and a range of other instruments. Over the years I taught basic piano, the beginner violin, viola, cello and a variety of school instruments such as recorder and xylophone. After each lesson, I wrote down their homework, and if a parent is there, I go over their progress. If it's an adult student, I obviously don't have to do that, but I enjoy all ages, and have students 4-82 currently! I even go to teach my 82 year old student, at her assisted living place! The difference between a kid and an adult student, is usually, that the child notices the correctly notes, while the adult thinks they had to be 7 to learn. Read More

I have been playing the cello for forty years and teaching for twenty. I love helping students of all ages realize their goals of playing and performing cello music. Although I do not have an academic background in music, I have studied privately with teachers who have been members of the New York Philharmonic and Juilliard faculty. In addition to playing and performing chamber music for the past thirty years in local venues, I am also a co-founder of the American Chamber Orchestra, a community orchestra that has performed for twenty seasons and toured Europe with performances in many countries.
