I've taught in a myriad of environments. My earliest goes back to instructing marching band/indoor percussion programs. My most recent marching program was Fusion Drum Bugle Corps. My college studies helped me branch out musically, and thus I started dabbling in private instruction which I found very fulfilling. As lessons progress another part of my teaching method is to teach students something they can be proud of. For younger students that might be a nursery rhyme they know all the words to and feel like they can perform for their parents, for older students it might be a song they love and hear on the radio and always wanted to learn how to play. By doing this early on I hope to show students that with their hard work they can make music they're proud of and show them the benefits of practicing and reaching goals. Read More
