While I aim to help students become their best, I ultimately want them to have fun above all else. I believe progress looks different for everyone, and I am very patient and happy to go over something more than once. Learning an instrument is more of a marathon than a sprint in my eyes, and I hope to guide each student on their own musical path. Lessons can range anywhere from simply learning about the instrument itself, going over foundational music theory(notes, chords, scales, intervals, and so on), learning site reading and tablature and the benefits of both. I got my start when I was six and picked up the guitar. From there I played in various local bands and wound up at the renowned Florida State University where I studied classical guitar. While there I expanded my knowledge of theory, practice approach, and audio production. In 2016 I had the opportunity to perform with George Clinton in an Old Time Ensemble through Florida State. After graduation I moved to Los Angeles where I cut my teeth in the audio engineering world and learned from the best about production and performance. Read More

As, we progress, I try to evolve with the student, getting more specialized in whatever genre they are leaning towards, all the while teaching songs and helping them to learn what they like. I have delved ever further into it over my lifetime (and continue to do so); and I love bringing whatever knowledge out of the "sea" of music there is to students who are eager to learn. Furthermore, I love getting "out of the way," so they can learn. Things that get IN the way are bureaucracy, stuffiness, overbearing attitudes, lack of curiosity, laziness, and pressure, to name a few. I have a track record of overcoming these obstacles to bring out the music YOU love from within you. Read More
