I have been teaching applied lessons since 2006, when I began teaching high school students in IL. Since then, I have taught students from middle schoolers to retirees, from beginning students learning to match pitch to advanced students taking professional auditions and winning national awards. She believes that choosing one method book for every student doesn't make sense because each student's needs are different. The method books used depend on the needs of the students and the instruments they are learning.
