For piano I prefer Faber Piano Adventures and have different books I would recommend starting with depending on the students age and experience. For guitar and ukulele I prefer using the Hal Leonard method books. I often supplement these method books with outside sources and pieces as is appropriate for the student. For singing students, I have a wide variety of books and resources depending on the musical style. I come from a classical voice background, so when students are middle school age and older (sometimes earlier) we begin learning Italian Art songs in addition to musical theater pieces and English folk songs. I love working with students of all ages and skill levels, and one of my biggest rewards as a teacher is seeing students improve and love music more and more each week. I work with students to develop their own unique goals for their lessons. Some students are putting together a full recital or prepping for auditions.
