My expertise is vast -- encompassing hundreds of performances in a variety of styles from operatic/classical to loud and rowdy rock to sublime Christian church music (old and new); encompassing over a decade's worth of teaching experience, from ages 6 to 72 (so far), on several instruments AND voice. My degrees include theory, composition, and singing, but I have been a composing, improvising, sight-reading pianist from childhood on. He maintained the recording studio, Music Computer-assisted Instruction Lab, and Electronic/Digital Music Studios. While at Terra State College in Ohio, Repp implemented a new college music program, centering the degrees on music technology. I am an encouraging teacher, but I help my students set realistic goals (and stretch goals!) that keep them motivated to progress in their musicianship. How our lessons progress really depends on the student in question. If they would like to pursue competitions, I am well equipped to help.
