To get that sound out we just need to revert back to the simple tools that we all possess from speech, such as yells or cries, shouts, sirens, slides, and inflection. I like to go slow at first and see how things go lesson by lesson. I never like to challenge my students too much in the beginning because it can be rather frustrating to continue learning music.
