Hi! Im Kate! I am a jazz vocalist and instrumentalist and teacher from Houston TX. I started my musical journey at Houston's High School for the Performing and Visual arts where I concentrated my studies in flute, but ultimately fell in love with singing. I am a 2019-2022 Downbeat Magazine Student Music Award Winner, a 2018 2019 YoungArts Winner in jazz voice, and I've performed at various venues including the 2018 Newport Jazz Festival, 2022 SXSW Festival, and the world renowned Birdland Jazz Club in New York City. I have experience singing professionally in operatic productions, as a soloist in concerts and recitals, in choirs and churches.
