My teaching experience began in college when I worked as a student volunteer in the Kean University Chamber Music ensemble. I worked with the vocalists in sectionals as well as one adult beginner flute player who I am good friends with. I later became the student assistant for that same ensemble my last semester in undergraduate as I continued to give critique and work with the flute student who was just starting, on the flute fundamentals such as sound, breathing, scales and long tones. The electric guitar quickly became a part of my identity, a part of my security, and has remained as a stable force in my life. I've been lucky to have a diverse professional musical career, studying jazz at SUNY New Paltz, nationally touring in a Zydeco Punk band, fronting my own band of originals, singing and playing guitar in rock musicals, and composing soundtracks. Instruments: Voice

I have been teaching voice for almost 20 years now. I have found that it doesn't matter the age if you have a love of singing then you can learn. I have had many students and it's so much fun to watch them learn and grow and find out that everyone has a voice and is capable of singing. Each student is a bit different and part of the fun is learning how to help them move forward whether through vocal exercises, ear training, learning how to breathe or just giving them the confidence they need to sing out loud. Instruments: Piano Voice Keyboard

I am an ambitious and open-minded teacher always looking to better myself and my students. I have been playing the piano for 11 years in addition to singing for 5 years. Although I am trained classically in piano and voice, I also like to work at a variety of genres as well as learn other instruments. It's always fun, especially with my students, to explore different flavors music has to offer. As of now, I teach Music and Chess at an academy and summer camp in Jersey City and study Music Education at William Paterson University. Read More
