Trombone: Tone, clarity, accuracy of pitch, and good sight reading is essential for trombone students.  We work on building a strong embouchure, consistent breath support and control, excellent posture, and how to read not only notes but rhythms accurately and with flare. Increased strength and flexibility in the voice work for us in any style and ultimately give us the freedom to express ourselves with greater ease. I strive for wellness in the voice and does not push people to sing in ways that create pain or stress. I continued to teach part-time throughout university, adding voice to the mix, and have taught full time off and on since then between singing engagements, mothering my children and working.
