Because I learn a lot by performing, I also encourage my students to perform as often as possible, in whatever capacity they feel comfortable - auditions, recitals, musicals, gigs, concerts, karaoke, you name it! I believe it is really important to hone your craft on stage, in addition to constant practice in the studio and at home. I love teaching students of all ages, but am especially experienced with students ages 10-30s. Read More

I create my own custom plans for each student. Different students have different needs and I format my lessons with that in mind. Keeping the student engaged while learning is the most important thing to me for lessons. My teaching pace is also based on the student and what he or she is capable of and comfortable with. I also make sure to help my students learn what they want to learn because some students may want to focus on performance while others might want to focus on music theory. Read More

A lifelong musician and lover of teaching, I've been a student of music since I was a toddler on the Violin. Growing up in a musical household I was introduced to a variety of musical styles. In 2009, I graduated from Wesleyan University with Honors in Music Performance and Composition thanks to my first rock opera, Black Friday. After graduation I moved to New Orleans thanks to a post-Katrina service trip that introduced me to my new home. Read More

With more advanced students, furthering a students development and introducing more challenging concepts is what I focus on teaching. With drumming, I like to incorporate concepts such as polyrhythms, an understanding of different genres, improvisation, and ear training. For students that are preparing to pursue a degree in music, I can help them prepare for an audition because of my experience of being a college music student in the past. Read More

I have taught dozens students from over 20 countries about songwriting, guitar playing, singing, lyric writing, piano, ukulele and more. Since 2011 I have played in over 1000 stages, starting in my hometown of Corrientes, Argentina, at first playing on the streets for tips and later moving onto bars, later theaters, and now touring full time. Teaching has always been something I have gravitated towards, specially after several requests from my listeners. I have ample examples of frustrated or disillusioned kids and adults that left my classes with their heads held high, because they finally felt they were moving another more step towards their musical goals. My students have told me that my lessons are always fun while still being challenging, which I think is as it should be. I will have you playing songs in no time, and then I will start pushing you to get to the next level! Read More

For beginning students, I vary my teaching methods quite a bit. I often take on students in households that already have method books purchased, and I have never had an issue with using them. At times, more books are needed, but I will allow the student to utilize these already-owned options, as I myself will supplement extra music. Students will often mentally understand what they need to do, but the necessary motor skills take time and repetition to achieve their goals. Read More
