My students are given simultaneous praise and feedback to help acheive desired skills. I encourage students to focus on what things feel like, and describe them, so that we can focus on what is working well! I began teaching career my senior year of college, since then I have taught privately and collectively for the past 15 years. I have taught classical, broadway, gospel, Latin, Indian, and African forums of music in variety of ways. Private or small group lessons have always been my favorite, because more attention and passion can be put into the music. During the first lesson I have the student sing (if it is a vocal lesson) their favorite song so I can hear them. After that i use my keyboard and take the student through some excersizes to really home in on that range. I listen for qualities and we discuss the positives and what improvements are needed. During these degrees, I studied vocal pedagogy extensively and began my private studio. I fully believe in the philosophy of hard work. I'm an energetic and exciting teacher who loves helping students discover their potential in music. In 2014, I graduaded from Coker College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Performance with a Concentration in Musical Theater. I have been performaning in theatrical productions and show cases for over eight years now. In college I was aprat of every major production whether is was performing, directing or writing.
