I approach teaching by focusing on the student. I find out what they need and want first. We set realistic goals together and I give them the tools to help them reach their goals. I don't want my students to be entirely dependent on me. I like to give them exercises to do on their own in between lessons so that time doesn't go to waste and they can see quicker improvement with their own practicing. Read More

My job is to motivate, instruct and make sure the students learn something new in every lesson, also develop a better understanding of music which leads to a more joyful experience while practicing and listening. My motto is "learning can be fun". Teaching voice requires a full dedication to understand each unique voice and find the tools, songs, exercises, that will make the student grow as a singer. Putting all my years of experience in the music business as a performer and coach I can tailor my instruction to their needs. Read More

The best award for the teacher is seeing his student develops his own talent. And I'm sure that every one is talented and the only question is how it talent will be enriched and developed. I encourage my student being their true self in performing, feeding from traditional and modern sources but keeping his own unique voice or playing style, accomplishing his personal goals, without comparing his own dynamics and results with other people, but working on becoming better than himself every day of learning. Being a person and friend rather than a "teacher" helps establish a nice atmosphere during the lesson, although it is important to be able to show authority as needed. First and foremost the student needs to have fun at class, otherwise he/she won't work on his/her own at home. I believe it is important to play a lot in the lesson, playing along with the student, listening to tunes, or just jamming together, all of these examples help spark creativity, which is a very important part of every musician. I create a custom lesson plan for each student, as every voice is different, and everyone comes with a different set of goals in mind. Every student can expect to be asked what their goals are, whether they are just to have fun and sing, work towards competing in local competitions, or to audition for a choir or show, and lessons and repetoire will be based on those goals. Every student can also expect to do do basic vocal exercises at every lesson to warm up their voice, and to more effectively teach technique and gauge progress. Read More

I have also an extensive background as a choral performer (both secular and religious settings). I have taught students of all ages in music practice, theory, and foreign language in both group and individual settings. Read More

To be honest, I didn't become serious about teaching in the arts until I went to graduate school from 2019 - 2022. There, I co-taught a class in the winter 2022 to undergraduates and realized I enjoyed teaching a variety of artists and helping them to feel more open in sharing their art and artistic practices. When I graduated, I knew that the next logical and intuitive step for me was teaching. Not only do I want to help others achieve their goals, I also feel that teaching pays homage to all of the mentors and teachers I've had throughout my life. Read More
