I will start new students, especially young students, with folk songs, games and exercises to train the ear, sense of rhythm, and acting muscles, prepare them to be able to read and understand musical notation, and encouragement to perform in a solo capacity when possible. Each lesson will be solely based around the needs and wants of the student based on their age-level, experience, and goals as a musician. We will work on many different vocal exercises and warm-ups to make sure we are strengthening every part of the vocal range.
