I will start new students, especially young students, with folk songs, games and exercises to train the ear, sense of rhythm, and acting muscles, prepare them to be able to read and understand musical notation, and encouragement to perform in a solo capacity when possible. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music ! Therefore its important that each student progress at his or her own pace.
