I generally try to understand the fundamentals as to where the student is at currently. The basics are always where we drill the most. Playing the fundamentals must become like second nature as all the advance stages of playing and performing would always be difficult. I began piano playing at age three, lessons from college faculty at age six, organ lessons at age thirteen and began coaching with my future major teacher at age fifteen. I gave my first New York City solo recital while still in High School and my first accompanying and solo performance at The National Cathedral in High School, and graduated a year early making up four credits the summer after grade 11. I have been trained in various styles ranging from classical, musical theatre, pop, country, etc. I write my own songs as well, and would love to encourage and assist budding songwriters with their craft.
