Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. For young beginner to intermediate piano students, I use the method "Piano Safari." Along with their repetoire books, a technique book and set of theory flash cards are used as well to give a wholistic approach to the instrument. I am a firm believer in a "whole body" approach which includes marching, tapping, and singing. This developes heightened aural skills as well as utalizing different ways of learning. I began teaching private lessons five years ago during my first year in college. I consistently taught privately, as well as in classroom settings in youth music programs in Boston. I also developed and taught courses in songwriting and music theory for teenagers. I encourage students to develop their age-appropriate practice routines, and support them in sticking with them.
