My teaching experience dates back to my college days, as I began teaching private lessons part time 4 years ago, and have been consistently teaching students in my home studio for the last 4 years. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for younger students, as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for the instrument. I will start new students, especially young students, with folk songs, games and exercises to train the ear, sense of rhythm, and acting muscles, prepare them to be able to read and understand musical notation, and encouragement to perform in a solo capacity when possible. At 15 years old I had the privilege to study with world class concert pianist the summer of 2016 at an Intensive program. Being mentored by alumni of Juilliard, Oberlin Conservatory, and Curtis Institute, allowed me to really stay focused on my musical studies and inspired me in the best way possible.
