As a violinist of 15 years, I love sharing my love of music with others, whether they may be my students, friends, or even acquaintances. Over the years of playing violin, I have learned from university professors, professional orchestral members, nationally renowned conductors, as well as Julliard graduates. My studying with these masters of music has helped me in gaining experience in the art of performing, teaching, mentoring, and most importantly just connecting with other music enthusiasts. Read More

I started playing violin at the age of nine through my elementary schools string program. In addition to performing with the Discovery Middle School and Timber Creek High School orchestras, I participated every year in the all-county and all-state orchestras and served as associate concertmaster of the Florida Symphony Youth Orchestra. I completed a double major in general music and engineering at Northwestern University in Chicago. I have professional performance experience playing violin in orchestras, as a pit musician for musical theater and for freelance gigs such as weddings. Read More

I am here for YOU, the students. The students make teaching music the best thing in all the world. It is what I love to do. Because of my years of experiences with having many different teachers teach me different training techniques, I have developed incredible, worthwhile, effective, and incredible techniques, methods, and skills with building your bow hold, left hand, bow arm, shifting, vibrato, and more that will help students improve in a matter of weeks, instead of months. What really fueled my fire was a two week camp in Potsdam, New York in 2007 where I was given the chance to stay in a college dorm, meet professors, work with graduate students, and play challenging music in the selected ensembles. On Long Island I was the second violin section leader of the Bay Area Community Orchestra and a 1st violin, and violist for the Suffolk County Community College Orchestra. Read More

Practice makes perfect. I ask students to practice as often as possible, no matter the skill level. I prefer students to start practice with scales and warm-up drills, then move on to composed pieces. Along with practice, I hope that students will not only play, but listen to their music, such as the Suzuki method. The more familiar students are with the different pitches in a song, the better they will be able to adjust their performance to correctly match. Read More

Nothing is more rewarding than seeing that musical spark ingnited in a student. Every student has different interests and different learning styles. Therefore, I make it my number one priority to accomodate the student's learning needs. Each lesson, we will set small attainable goals that can be achieved each week in order to help fuel a student's desire to progress and continue practicing. Read More
