I have taught in a variety of musical settings with a wide range of students and abilities. I have taught independently as well as for organizations such as the Youth Orchestra of Central NJ. In 2012 I worked for Camp Encore Coda where I taught trumpet lessons, directed the Symphonic Band, coached jazz combos, and taught music theory/musicianship class.  My experience working as full time music faculty for Camp Encore Coda sparked my graduate research on overnight summer music camp, which has since been presented at three major professional conferences in the music education field at the state, national, and international level. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for playing trumpet. Therefore, it's important that each student progresses at his or her own pace. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. Acknowledging accomplishments helps fuel a students desire to progress, and makes students eager to learn more. My principles of pedagogy are based on performing and teaching. I have crafted my own method, especially for children. Thos ,ethod help to train ears while teaching proper posture and technique, which leads to correct concentration and reflection. During my lessons I always demonstrate my playing. I try to stress the importance of daily practice. I encourage my students to enjoy making music, and never to be discouraged. I''m from a big music family in Venezuela, and started very young in music, this is my life and love toshare all my experiences with my students. I studied and played trumpet in the world famous "El Sistema" music program (social inclussion througt the music, speciality with youth and child symphony orchestras), and later teaching the new generations there. Orff and Kodály are the requirements throughout my college study, which I integrated into my teaching and found it helpful for developing students' sense of music. I am familiar with the major piano teaching system, including Faber, Bastien, Alfred and Baker. I evaluated the student's instinct on the piano at the first lesson to decide which material is good for them.
