Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. I enjoy sharing the joy of making music with my students. I studied piano performance at Jacob School of Music and piano pedagogy at Longy School of Music (Cambridge, MA). Born into a musical family, I grew up playing music and ensembles as a family. I also played cello in school orchestra and joined choir as an adult. Watching my students eyes light up as they reach that "eureka! I understand!" moment is so rewarding, both to me as the instructor and to the student. Every child reaches different milestones at a different time so with that being said I never pressure the child to learn faster than he/she is capable of. Hi everyone, my name is Kyle I'm a recent graduate from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. I received my Bachelor Music in Vocal Jazz Performance from there in May of 2014, I also used to direct The Green Street Brew, an a Capella group from Northampton (but I still arrange music for them). In 2002 I won prizes in the international piano competitions in Ukraine , earned Third Prize at the International Competitions in Memory of E. Gilels, First Prize at the International Competition in Memory of Prokofiev, and Second Prize at the International Competition in Memory of A. Karamanov. In 2008, I continued winning competitions: I won First Prize in the “Music World” International Competition in Italy. I have used a wide variety of method books. I feel very comfortable with any book in the Alfred's series, Piano Adventures, Bastien, Playtime Piano, etc. However, in many cases, I often select songs/material outside of lesson books to keep lessons interesting. As a musician who needs motivation to practice, I know that practicing material that I like to be essential. The same applies to my students. If we are working on a piece that the student enjoys listening to, the student will be more motivated to practice. Read More
