I have been teaching guitar and piano to many different students. I love to teach and I think that it is one of the most wonderful things in life. I have been playing in shows since 1999, performing styles from classical music to blues, jazz and rock. I love to play and record live. Read More

I always incorporate music theory into my lessons but it depends more of what kind of student are you? What kind of music do you want to play? What level of playing do you want to achieve, depending on your answers I will create an approach that It's going to be the most convenient for you, not everybody wants to play the same style of music, however, I have my approaches to teach, books, songs, exercises but my first impression is to get to know you so you can tell me what is your goal. I try to create a relaxed, fun, trustworthy and focused, environment for the student. I like to ask them what’s interesting and appealing to them, then we start the lesson. When I teach at my studio and children come directly from school I give them a snack if they haven’t had any. Children cannot concentrate if they are hungry. We play musical games for the younger ones, so they can internalize either the beats or the values of the notation. Read More

Different learning styles, whether it be visual, aural, verbal, or physical, are present in all classrooms. Unfortunately, teachers do not always cater to every students needs. I believe that differentiate should be a huge part of every learning environment and plan to include multiple learning styles in my teaching environment to best provide for the student. I firmly believe that every student has the ability to find and feed their creative through any art form. Read More

Not everyone will become a professional music or composer. My experience gives me the insight to offer the tools you need, for your music learning experience. As a "drumset" "percussion" teacher. I'll use The Tommy Thomas Percussion Library (334) pages of lessons. I've taught music to early learners, ages 1 year through Seniors. Learning music and an instrument can be a rewarding experience. Music should be an enjoyable experience. I value each individuals skill level and their goal. Read More

For piano I prefer Faber Piano Adventures and have different books I would recommend starting with depending on the students age and experience. For guitar and ukulele I prefer using the Hal Leonard method books. I often supplement these method books with outside sources and pieces as is appropriate for the student. For singing students, I have a wide variety of books and resources depending on the musical style. I come from a classical voice background, so when students are middle school age and older (sometimes earlier) we begin learning Italian Art songs in addition to musical theater pieces and English folk songs. Im a working pianist, educator, music director, and accompanist. My greatest passion however is teaching, and I try to weave that into every part of my musical life and work. I graduated in the spring of 2022 with my bachelors in music from Rollins College in Winter Park Florida, studying under Dr. Gloria Cook. My favorite work to do aside from teaching is music directing musicals. I love to travel the state to play in and lead a pit of musicians and to bring a show to life through the thing I do best. Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
