We also work on long-term pieces for festivals and recitals throughout the year if they are interested in playing for those. I strongly encourage them to participate in these, helping them to feel confident and secure in these performances. Living in NYC I began performing live and became a studio session musician in the process  I developed songwriting and arranging skills as well as my own composing style. I try and do this by heavily incorporating the music that they identify the most with while strengthening their technique with a classical foundation.
