Overview:
I am an experienced performer and voice teacher. I love teaching voice. It is my passion to help others to discover their singing voice. I hold a Bachelor for music in vocal performance from the University of Kentucky and a Masters of music in vocal performance/opera. My educational background allows me to teach classical and popular music.
EXPERIENCE
My teaching experience goes back to 2009. I began teaching vocal technique to a small group of high school students in Guadalajara, Mexico. Since then, I have been actively teaching voice to young kids as well as adults. I am an expert in making lessons fun and enjoyable. singing should be easy and simple. When my students are prepared to sing, I encouraged them to go to competitions and to perform as much as they want. I also encourage them to be creative and compose their own songs.
METHODS USED
For beginning students, I typically start with respiratory exercises, and how to learn to breathe correctly for singing. Breathing correctly is the base for a good singing technique in any genre. However you will be singing and learning your favorite songs in no time. Depending on what my students want to achieve, I always create a program to help them to achieve their goals.
LESSON STYLE
Music is a passion to be shared with others. I am always amazed on how my students learn to sing a new song, and how they improve. I believe that everyone can achieve their own goals through daily practice. When you are determined to learn a new song, to prepare for a recital, to improve your breathing, I will be there to help you during the processes and I will guide to achieve consistency in your beautiful singing.
