I have been singing and teaching for over 30 years both professionally and for my own enjoyment.  Singing is my passion, it is what I do.  I have found that teaching someone to enjoy and express themselves through music is perhaps one of the most rewarding things I do.  For the past several  years I have had the privilege to teach within several school districts as a Private Voice Instructor. These districts include Arlington ISD, Grapevine ISD, Plano ISD and Lewisville ISD.  During my time with Grapevine ISD I worked closely with Music Faculty in support of their program which included writing curriculum for the Music History program.  I work closely with my students and their Choral Director to make the musical experience fun and rewarding.  At the end of the school year the students perform in recital for their parents and friends.  I am always very proud of my students as they demonstrate what they have learned and how much they have improved through the year. Piano: I enjoy the Alfred books as they explore the fundamentals of piano playing and provide tips for good habits. After having a good foundation for the fundamentals, I will move on to the Hanon book which explores technical exercises, scales, and arpeggios. Students will learn repertoire that will range from contemporary genres to classical genres. Organ: A piano background would be preferred. I like to start with the Davidson book and use Gleason for mastering the pedals. Read More

I have enjoyed playing, singing and accompanying vocally and on piano, organ and keyboard since the age of 7.  I have both Choir and Solo vocal experience as well as played piano and organ for Churches and special performances. I have trained choirs and soloist and taught singing lessons for more than 10 years. My students are all ages (I once had a student start at the age of 70!) and come from a variety of backgrounds and experiences.
