Throughout the years I've held positions in the Cary-Apex Piano Teachers Association and the Raleigh Piano Teachers Association. Read More

I'm a fun, energetic teacher who enjoys helping students find their inner passion for music. In 2012, I graduated from UNC - Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Arts in Music and Mathematics. While studying composition under Dr. Allen Anderson, I premiered and recorded pieces for brass trio, wind quintet, percussion ensemble, and soprano with piano accompaniment. In college, I also had the opportunity to tour with the UNC Men's Glee Club across the country as a soloist. Read More

I use a mixture of my own custom lesson plans as well as working from a book if the student is a beginner. I use different books for different instruments but I don’t like to rely on them completely as all students learn at different rates and have different strengths and weaknesses. So sometimes I will source more music or activities from elsewhere or miss pieces or sections out. Read More

N.J. We were part of a special collaboration between Rutgers University and the arts school. Outer specialized program was called, " Soweto" due to our team collaboration in Johannisburg, South Africa. I also worked there for numerous years as a substitute violin instructor for Doctor Younoski. I also worked in an Enrichment program at Bethal Christian Academy, in the afternoons after school, M-F. I taught a Youth In Arts program on the weekends at George Inness Junior High, which was sponsored by The Mount Claire Public School Systems. Read More

Every student is a snowflake, meaning everyone has their own unique preferences and dislikes. I customize my teaching style depending on the student and allow them to progress at their own pace. I like to first introduce students to basics and learn their tastes so I can modify their teaching regimen. I assign students "homework" or practice songs each week to ensure they are maintaining their routine, and if they deviate from this for some reason for more than two weeks, I immediately tune my teaching style to best motivate my students to want to practice.
