A few years later I also began studying the violin. At a young age I fell in love with music and its ability to express emotion and connect people. This is what I hope to pass on to my students. Teacher interaction with hands-on at lessons: In order to help students understand the feeling of correct violin playing, I occasional assist them in such ways as guiding the bow, hands, and arms. Student interaction: I want every one of my students to be engaged and excited while learning the violin. My aim is to combine fun with learning. I started playing the violin at the age of 8 and now I have been playing it for 30 years. I started working with children when I turned 19 and to this day I have never stopped. I studied and worked at the same time, as well as playing in an orchestra, and I developed a strong work ethic. I am a professional concert violinist and have been happily teaching violin for 11 years. I have my Master of Music degree in Violin Performance from University of Oklahoma and a Bachelor of Music degree in Violin Performance from Western Michigan University. During my student years I had the pleasure of serving as the concertmaster and assistant concert master of my university symphony orchestras, and was a paid member of the University of Oklahoma Graduate String Quartet, which served to showcase the music school in regular public concerts.
