I've been teaching trumpet since I was a freshman in High School. My mother is a band director for Selma Middle School and frequently asks me to tutor students or conduct a group session. After High School, many private teaching opportunities opened up for me, including Hope Middle School, Red Wood Middle School, Clinton Middle School, as well as brass tech for Topsail High School and Clinton High School. We took trips to Chicago every other year to see the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and to do a workshop at Northwestern University and my students received first and second division ratings at Solo and Ensemble both at the district and state levels. I was a judge for solo and ensemble and band festivals.
