Instruments: Voice
I started teaching in New York after my fans started asking for lessons. All students agree on one thing: their singing definitely improved. Some of my students ended up on X Factor and The Voice. I can prepare you or your child for singing castings not only with the vocal technique but with the repertoire as well. I tend to be very straight forward and honest about a student's musical abilities and would never mislead a person into continuing with music if he/she doesn't demonstrate prominent skills. Read More

I use All for Strings, Suzuki, Klengel (scales) at the beginning level. I proceed to Concerto repertoire, Popper, Dotzauer etc. The usual classical repertoire. I will also transcribe popular pieces or pieces that the student enjoys to really increase motivation. I also test weekly to inform students of where their practice ability is at and what they need to improve on. I have a very effecient practice style that I have developed on my own and am quite proud of. Teaching is my life and it makes me happy to see students improve. Read More

I started teaching piano to both children and adults in high school. One of them was 5 years old, the other was 6, and another was 13 years old. I've also taught a 19-year-old for a short period of time. For the two kids who were 5 and 6, they were total beginners at piano and did not know anything about piano so my main focus was to introduce them to this instrument and teach them the basics of music theories, scores, and postures. In singing, breath is the basis of all sound. We will work on developing a healthy support system and gaining stamina, dynamic range, and technical function that will allow your very unique instrument to flourish and thrive. I will help guide you towards repertoire that will help expand your knowledge of how your instrument works and inspire you to keep exploring and learning. Much will be guided by your goals as a musician. Read More

Instruments: Drums
I always start my lessons with the basics. You have to learn the rudiments. We start with a book called stick control and move on to syncopation and more. We learn to hold the sticks the right way so you can play any technique later on. We concentrate on control and sounding clean. We move on to drum beats and fills . Eventually we learn syncopation with hands and feet. We learn dynamics and reading music..... Read More

My style is closer to the Russian style than to the American style. This tends to involve more discipline, an emphasis on focus and concentration, and a more direct communicative approach. I don't usually mince words, although I am very supportive and gentle. My students seldom suffer self-confidence problems, because we are always too concerned with improving ourselves. We identify and focus on the task at hand. This is not for everyone, but for those that prefer this style, there is no substitute. Read More
