I started my musical journey at age 3 in Hollywood, California. My musical inspiration has always been The Beatles and I aspired to be like them. From the first time I picked up the guitar I never put it down. As I grew into my guitar, it became my friend, protector and therapist. As a high school student hearing the last bell ring, I leaped on my back and headed straight to music school which I took way more serious than anything else, knowing that one day I'd make my presence known. My private classes are fun, creative, and highly individualized according to the students abilities, goals and dreams. Students will learn many essential techniques of classical guitar, chords and arpeggios, sight readings, fingerpicking, theory of music and many of their favorite pieces. I also teach my students about the various styles of music, music history, introduce them to famous musicians, composers and performers as well as to help them to develop their own unique style of performance. For beginning and intermediate guitar students, I typically use Hal Leonard's Guitar Method Complete Edition by Will Schmid and Greg Koch. This book will cover technique, music notation, theory, repertoire, fingerboard knowledge and music fundamentals. It works for children and adults. For beginning students who are learning classical guitar, I use the Aaron Shearer's method which includes detailed lessons on theory, form, fingering, technique, sight-reading, and etc. Nevertheless, I usually use many other books for guitar lessons since I always take into consideration the needs and goals of my students. Many times, they never thought they would EVER be able to play it, but yet in only a few lessons hdere they are, playing it! I have a skill for breaking down what seems like a complicated subject, and explaining in the most simplfied way that everyone can understand, no matter their backround. Read More

Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music! Therefore, it's important that each student progresses at his or her own pace. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. Acknowledging accomplishments helps fuel a students desire to progress, and makes students eager to learn more. By trying to find out what inspires the student, I can successfully tailor my instruction to their wants and needs. Read More
