I've been playing guitar for twenty-two years, and am a full-time professional musician in Los Angeles. I make my living playing live and studio sessions, teaching and composing music for tv shows and commercials. To date, I have placements with Honda,Pizza Hut, Got Milk, Banner Health, and a total of one million Spotify streams with my original music. I have a degree in Studio/Jazz Guitar from Thornton School of Music at USC. Read More

I've been teaching for the past five years. My favorite part of being a teacher is seeing my students take the initiative in their musical studies and discovering break throughs in our lessons. Many of my students have participated in several honor bands and competitions, and I make it a point to steer them in that direction. In my experience the best place a musician can be is surrounded by musicians that raise their standards of excellence. Read More

For beginning students who are children, I typically start with blend of methods based on the game form of learning, in which all the appropriate to the child's age skills are acquired through the fun techniques and songs. For piano lessons I prefer use the Alfred's piano books or Hal Leonard's books, for voice lessons I use the methods of classical singing school, Set Riggs method and pop & jazz techniques, it depends on the style, that student prefers to learn. I would like to inform little of music theory as needed for better understanding of music. Mainly I would focus on letting students make their goal and achieve it. The way I teach students is starting with setting a goal for each lesson time. After setting a goal, I will organize time to spend to go through anything we need to work on together. I will assign my student to read next part until we meet next lesson. Read More
Instruments: Trombone
I have an easy-going style of teaching where I focus on the interests of the student first. The reality of learning an instrument is that unless practice is fun and interesting, there will not be enough of it. As such, I make sure to gamify the practice and find concrete ways to measure the progress of the student. In the end, I find that building a deep interest and encouraging a passion for music is a sure-fire way for students to grow as musicians while enjoying the journey at the same time. Read More

My first emphasis is that you have to like what you're playing. I really try to focus on what music gets the student excited. For some of them, it comes quickly. Others it might take a while, and that is okay. Once I find the switch that engages the student's interest, that is my focus. I really emphasize getting students to read music and also understand the key components of music theory, so that they understand what it is they are playing. Read More
Instruments: Drums
I believe that drum has to start with the basics, I used to practice at least one hour a day every day for over 10 years. I still practice on a regular basis with my pads and on my drums. So many drummers you see today are not schooled and its a shame. if you start with a good solid foundation you can be the best there is. I always strived to be the best drummer that I can be.Learning can be fun if taught the right way. Read More
