I just recently moved to the Greater Phoenix Area. I have a very strong passion for singing and bringing music to others. I have three degrees in opera, but I have worked professionally singing everything from standard ballads to gospel songs. Performing all over the world has given me the opportunity to sing and learn things about other cultures that I would otherwise never have known about. My most recent accomplishment was singing the leading role of Hoffman in the french opera Les contes d'hoffman in Perieuguex France in the summer of 2012. Read More

I teach how to read music and mainly use Faber & Faber method for both children and adults. For beginning students who are children, I typically start with Faber and Faber primer level. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce scales and solo repertoire. For adults, I try to find out what the student is interested in, and guide my instruction accordingly to keep the lessons engaging and fun, no matter their ability level. Read More

Practice is without a doubt the pathway to success, but not just any practice because that can lead to the development of bad habits that are hard to break. I give my students a variety of ways to approach their music studies, because, if they are taking lessons then they are more serious about learning to become musicians than your general music class students. That makes them special in my eyes because they are taking a risk. Read More

Every person is different. Therefore, it is safe to say that everyone's learning style is different as well. As your teacher, it is my job to discover how you best learn and respond to the material I assign. I make each student an individual plan that will help them succeed. I want my students to have fun, too... after all, that's what music is all about! I like to play duets with my students and teach them basic reed- making tips, something they will need to know if they continue with oboe. Read More
Instruments: Piano Violin
My teaching experience dates back to my college days, as I began teaching private lessons part time. I encourage the student to see it , believe it and achieve all goals that can be set out to be accomplished. Practice on a daily basis is very necessary when gaining the passion for the chosen instrument. My students are encouraged to enter competitions and recitals, as well as work on composing their own original material, so they can feel good about their accomplishments and stay motivated to learn.
