I stopped teaching for a while in order to pursue my Bachelor's Degree - beginning at Dixie State University, and I am now working to build my clientele again. I absolutely love to teach. It is very important for any student at any level to have a strong technical foundation starting with proper posture and hand shape. I usually start out using the Rubank Method, but I frequently incorporate some Suzuki and other ear training methods as well. I also like to use Trevor Wye's books for more advanced students. I like to expose all students to a classical repertoire of performance pieces, using basics for beginners and progressing in difficulty as the student gains more control of the instrument. I use a variety of books with etudes, or studies, to give students a strong background in technique while also teaching various musical concepts such as theory and improvisation. Read More
